During Spring Break, we went on a short nature hike in the forest preserve next to our house (see map). It was a sunny 81 degrees on April 1st, so we decided to enjoy the day outside. The whole family walked to the model airplane field and watched a couple of planes take off, fly around, and land. Nathalie drove Anya home while Zander, Vincent, and I continued the hike through the woods and open fields.

We saw several birds (from a distance) and hiked over a bridge before waking home for lunch. Can’t wait for hike #2!

Introducing the Jones kid’s first music video.  Just like their parents, the kids enjoy the fabulous swing rythms of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

This seemed like a good idea at the time. The kids were playing dinosaur attack and wanted me to be the mighty Dinousaur Shark. After multiple “attacks,” the mighty Dinousaur Shark finally succumbed to extreme exaustion and eventually became extinct.
